Jennifer Dockstator
Jennifer Dockstator has worked on behalf of the environment in one form or another since the 1980’s. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1983. From there she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked at both the Congressional Research Service in the Environment and Natural Resource Policy Division and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She went on to obtain her Masters degree from the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University and is currently working on her PhD at York University in Sustainability.

Since
earning her Masters, Jennifer has consulted with the Institute of Environmental
Research and the Aboriginal Research Institute on
various projects ranging from Social Impact Assessments to Strategic Planning.
While raising her family, she has held numerous volunteer positions in the Oakville
community.
She served on the Region of Halton Ecological and Environmental Advisory
Committee for seven years and was involved in various neighbourhood issues
concerning an adjacent Environmentally Sensitive Area. In addition to working with the Oakville
Sustainability Initiative, Jennifer currently sits on the Town of Oakville
Mayor’s Advisory Group on Sustainability.
Jennifer resides in Oakville with her husband and two teenage sons.
