Oakville Sustainability Initiative invited to Join Mayor's Advisory Council
The Oakville Sustainability Initiative has accepted Mayor Rob Burton's request to join a Mayor's Advisory Group (MAG) on Sustainability.
The Sustainability MAG will consult widely and report its results in an ongoing work plan, as it develops.
"I began working on Sustainability Planning for Communities, Businesses and Education
five years ago because I wanted to work toward protecting our future," Elaine
Hanson said. "This MAG is the perfect way to focus my concerns into one overarching
and multi sector framework for sustainability."
