Invite you to help lead Oakville’s transition
to a sustainable future...

Location: Knox Presbyterian Church, Lakeshore Drive, Oakville, Ontario

Sustainability is the word of the year. And the business model of the future. Find out what it means for you, your business, and your municipal/regional governments.

Please join Oakvillegreen’s newest initiative, The Oakville Sustainability Initiative and other Oakville community leaders to learn about sustainable community planning and sustainability’s inherent business opportunities through a presentation by The Natural Step on Thursday May 17 at 7pm at the Knox Presbyterian Church on Dunn Street and Lakeshore Road in Oakville.

Sustainability Adviser Chad Park will present a clear, compelling, science-based definition of sustainability and a practical strategic planning framework to help our community and business organizations make smart economic decisions to move them step-by-step towards a successful and sustainable future.

The Natural Step is a Swedish nonprofit corporation that advises forward-thinking corporations, municipalities, regions, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations around the world on how to adjust their governance and decision-making systems to allow them to take tangible steps towards environmental, economic, and social sustainability.

Halifax Regional Municipality, the Municipality of Whistler, Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, the District of North Vancouver, Nike, Co-operators, McDonald’s Sweden, IKEA, and Interface, Inc. are just a few of the organizations that are working with The Natural Step towards a sustainable future.

For more information about the Oakville Sustainability Initiative, please contact Elaine Hanson  905.845.3420 or Chris Lunghino  905.580.4745.

We look forward to seeing you.
